Do I have to pay any policy excess?
For both Static Caravan Insurance and Touring Caravan Insurance, ‘no policy excess’ options are available. As with all insurances though, the higher policy excess you opt to pay, the lower the overall premium.

Can I take my Touring Caravan to Europe?

This will depend on the type of policy you take out. Am I allowed to make changes once I have taken out my policy?

You can make changes throughout the lifetime of your policy however it is now common to incur an administration fee should you wish to do so. You must remember that you are legally and contractually obliged to inform your insurer of any changes that may affect your policy. Change of address, accident s and penalties are just some of the changes you must inform your insurer of should they apply to you.

What information is required when taking out caravan insurance?

When taking out caravan insurance it is always best to give as much information as possible. Failure to disclose information such as penalty points, criminal convictions and illness can all affect the towing of your caravan and influence your insurer.

You will be asked a series of questions when retrieving quotes and it is in your best interest to answer them truthfully and honestly; failure to do so can result in an invalid policy.

Am I permitted to tow other caravans?

This depends on the policy you have taken out. If you have permission to drive a vehicle on a third party basis or are a named driver most policies will allow this. If you’re unsure it’s always advised to check with your provider.
