| 2008 is Cruckley Farm’s 21st season and we have enjoyed giving many thousands of children the chance to see farm and country life on a real working farm. On our 60 acres we grow barley; grass for silage, hay and grazing. We rear calves for beef and fatten pigs and lambs for market. Most of our pedigree stock is sold on for breeding. At the moment we have about 40 breeds and varieties of farm animals and poultry including many rare and endangered species. Cruckley is the only Approved Rare Breed Survival Trust Centre in East Yorkshire and a member of the National Association of farms for schools. |
SOME FARM VISIT FACTS:
- FREE PREVIEW visit for all teachers and school staff.
- Enthusiastic, and knowledgeable staff will organise a visit to suit the ages and needs of your children.
- We provide educational and fun Conducted tours and milking display.
- Many viewing paddocks and Safe one and a half mile trail around farm.
- Close animal contact – hatchery with chicks hatching daily, piglets, lambs, calves and kidds born through out the summer, plus our new Rabbit warren.
- Large picnic area – and under cover area!
- Large tree house and more play equipment for stress free lunch hour play time!

£2 per child
Price includes demonstrations, tour and animal food.
All school staff free of charge! Other adults just £2

Cruckley is a traditional family run farm, set in the heart of rural East Yorkshire, close to the Wolds. For the last 20 years our doors have been open to the public, educating school parties and providing families with hours of fun and a countryside experience which is hard to match.
